Maxime Chudeau, is a French animation filmmaker based in New York City and an M.F.A graduate with honors at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin, Strasbourg.
Through a disciplined independent practice, Maxime builds films that are personal and raw, marked by an experimental narrative logic and an obsession with agency.
His award-winning first film, CIRCVS MAXIMVS, has been screened at major international festivals focused on digital and media arts, most notably at Ars Electronica. His narrative follow up, Mr. Ogre's Castle, is a collaboration with metal musician Jules Bouchier-Végis exploring America’s fortress mentality.
